the History of Imabari (No.1)

1) We are not sure exactly when Imabari was established. There are a number of
hypotheses regarding the city’s origins.
663 – The Hakusukienotatakai(war) was waged on the Chosen Peninsula.
{wakoku kudara rengougun×tou shiragi rengougun}was taken as a prisoner
and his name (Ochi no Atai) appeared in the earliest history of
Imabari. His family name was Ochi and he is said to have been born
in the area that is now known as Kokubu in Imabari.
